  • “Pre-Christmas gift”

    Christmas time is here and we have a great “Pre-Christmas gift” for you. As you might have noticed we have integrated a new option that offers detailled Terrain-information and 3D-views of the earth ground. Just click on the menu and select the new option “Terrain”. It’s the best mode to view mountains, valleys or vegetation.

  • maps.live.com supports KML

    http://maps.live.com (Bing Maps) now also supports KML overlays. Click on the icon (which you can find at each entry) to open any map in maps.live.com … and compare Microsoft’s mapping service with Google Maps.

  • View maps in Google Earth

    For quite a while all GLOTTER World Maps also can be viewed in Google Maps and in Google Earth. Just click on the Google Earth icon you can find at each entry. Google Earth is a free software that displays a virtual 3D globe with high resolution satellite imagery.

  • New services

    Early enough – right before the holiday season starts – we’ve launched two new useful services. We now offer driving directions for worldwide destinations. If you need to find the exact location of worldwide places, you can use the Geocoder. This tool shows you how easy it is to add new placemarks to your GLOTTER-entries.

  • New design!

    GLOTTER got a new design “back to basics”. Furthermore adding new placemarks is really easy now – just search for geocoded places/addresses to get the latitude/longitude of your point. Please report any problems at www.glotter.com/contact. Thank you!
